A wise woman once wrote to me…
this is what we need more of in life. inclusion. compassion. sensitivity to the people that comprise our world …the fortunate and the unfortunate. the willingness to take each other in. to believe in each other. to lift each other up….
I hadn’t really understood the power of connections until that moment; a moment that had a significant impact on me and has since changed me in so many ways.
Those words were written by my patient partner Rebecca. She is taking on her own marathon this coming March. She will join the Pompe community in Muscle Walk 2012 to raise awareness and funds to support research for all muscular diseases!
